World Cancer Day is observed globally on the 4th of February.

To mark the day this year, Manipal Hospital, Miller’s Road hosted a small event to increase our neighborhood community’s awareness about cancer.  Members of the Vasanthnagar Women’s Welfare Association, as well as interested citizens from the neighborhood attended the program.

The highlight of the event was a Cancer Awareness Talk delivered by two of our valued team members and colleagues – Dr Mahadev Abhishek, Consultant Surgical Oncology and Dr Annalakshmi, Consultant, Medical Oncology.

This was followed the by the launch of the Breast Cancer Screening and Mammogram Clinic.

The event was attended by a bunch of health enthusiasts, brimming with questions and eager to learn more.

It ended on a happy note with bonding and networking over a warm lunch!
