Today’s blog is a surgical video. My first posting of a surgical video – possibly in a forthcoming series of surgical videos. This particular video is a robotic surgical resection of a large mediastinal (inside the chest) tumor – an ectopic (abnormal site) goitre (enlarged thyroid) – a very rare condition. I chose this specific video as my first video publication, since I could not find this particular procedure described well anywhere in my own searches, prior to doing the surgery. I hope it helps other surgeons who set out to perform this surgery.

Special thanks to Dr Khyati Melanta and Dr Hemanth G N, my surgical colleagues, who were part of the surgery, and who helped me make and edit the video, and give a voice-over to the surgical steps of the procedure.
