Merry Christmas – May Our Wishes Come True

It’s that time of the year again when cheer and festivity fill the air.

Warm cribs to welcome baby Jesus, Christmas trees shining bright, sweet melodies of carols in the air, yummy treats to savor, love and laughter to revel in, the spirit of giving, and excited little children awaiting Santa’s visit – all these bring such joy to this season!

I recently came across a post on social media with a question –

“What would you ask Santa for Christmas?”

Among the dozens of responses, one woman’s answer drew my attention.

She said she would ask for a cancer-free world.

Let’s say ‘Amen’ to that!

Considering the rapid rate of advances in cancer prevention and treatment, let’s hope this woman’s wish will come true one day soon.

Remember that almost 50% of cancers are preventable simply through the elimination of tobacco use.

And of the remaining, several are curable, especially if we diagnose and treat them early.

The statistics are reassuring. However, we need to take some responsibility for our health too.

As the famous proverb goes, “God helps those who help themselves.”

Here’s wishing you and your loved ones good health, joy, and peace this season.

Merry Christmas!
