One of the great joys of working in a university hospital is the opportunity to mentor upcoming surgeons. Having spent more than a decade working at a nationally reputed teaching hospital, I had the occasion to come across a lot of young surgical talent.
Several of them have gone on and made their own mark in the field of surgery and surgical oncology.
This month, I had the privilege to reconnect with Dr Elvis Peter Joseph after almost five years, during which time he has trained and worked in centers of excellence across India.
It is indeed a pleasure to welcome Dr Elvis, and to work together again in our Department of Surgical Oncology.
