The annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is arguably one of the world’s most important conferences in cancer care. Since many cannot attend the event in person, ASCO gives out a limited number of official licenses to organizations for its key scientific papers to be presented in the rest of the world. This year, India has obtained licenses for two meetings, and one of them (called the Best of ASCO 2025) is being hosted in Bangalore.
As part of the core committee, I invite fellow oncology colleagues and budding oncologists to participate in this event, which is happening on the 23rd and 24th of August.
In addition to the main conference, there are several workshops – one particularly designed for postgraduate students of surgical, medical and radiation oncology. We have invited seasoned teachers and examiners to conduct this workshop in a mock-exam format to help prepare students for their exit examinations.
